Melvil Dewey invented his Dewey Decimal System in 1876, and early versions of his system are in the public domain. The more recent editions of his system are in copyright and therefore Harry's Suitcase does not have current access. The numbers we use are from public domain editions of the system.

Should you know of a more recent number that you would like added to your necklace.. Don't hesitate to let me know! I am no expert, only the niece of an ex librarian, daughter of an English Teacher, and a girl who spent many of her pre-baby years managing a bookstore! I just have a love of books ❤️
