This may be a small sunflower but it will create a BIG smile. This pattern has been written as part of my Crochet Kind initiative. All over the world random acts of kindness are happening and right now, more than ever, we need kindness. A simple smile, a thank you…. Kindness is just as important for the person gifting it as it is to the person on the receiving end.

Sunflowers always provide a smile, their happy colour and swaying nature, the warmth the exude…. Small or large, they are a flower for the heart. Why not use this pattern to make some crochet kind of your own. Make the sunflower, write on a leaf (included you will find some inspiring phrases to use) and hang the flower in a tree, or maybe leave it on a bench in the park. There are so many options of where you can share this small act of kindness and make another’s day.

This pattern includes instructions on how to make the sunflower and also some tips and hints on joining it together with a leaf. Embracing nature and kindness, a beautiful way to share the crochet kind.

These sunflowers are lovingly handmade by me. Each one is ready for you to take and place somewhere for someone to find. The kit consists of:

10 x Sunflowers (approx 7cm wide)

10 x gum leaves to write on

1 x how to instruction sheet

1 x inspiring quotes sheet

From hanging on branches, leaving at bus stops, hiding in books.... there are so many places you can leave these random acts of kindness to make someone smile.

In times like these, it is important to choose kind.

These cotton 'scrubbies' can replace the use of cotton wool and can be popped into the washing machine to reuse over and over again.

It shouldn’t just be special occasions when the teapot comes out..:: every day is special and every day deserves to be a tea cosy kind of day!

What could be better than serving tea in a sunflower covered cosy! 

The cosy itself is made from a dark green wool for extra cosy warmth. The sunflowers on top are made from a cotton because that’s my favourite yarn to make sunflowers from! 

You’ll find 7 sunflowers and 5 leaves on the top of the cosy so whichever the angle, you are going to get a sunny treat!

This tea cosy is made to fit a 4-6 mug tea pot, if you have a different size or special requirements, let me know!

Crocheted in green wool, with brightly coloured flowers on top, this tea cosy will brighten any tea party for young and old.

With 5 delightful flowers on top, this tea cosy fits a 4 cup teapot snuggly. 

Three roses and two daisies, with little vintage buttons on, are attached to the top to give the wow factor every tea cosy should have.

A gorgeous tulip bouquet to brighten up anyone’s day. 

This bouquet includes 9 crocheted tulips. Each tulip is wired around each petal to create shape. The tulips are attached to thicker wire stems to give them the feel of how real tulips move and sway. 

The bouquet also includes 3 crocheted leaves. 

All this is held together with ribbon and wrapped in brown paper. 

This bouquet would suit a tall vase to give the tulips some structure however I can also attach the tulips to twigs instead of wire to give them a bit more structure and strength, just let me know! 

The tulips in this bouquet are as pictured, a mix of pink, yellow and orange. Should you want different colours, just include in a message with the order. 

I use cotton to crochet the flowers and leaves as I love the colours and texture it gives each item.

Crochet golden wattle to brighten a spring day! 

This bouquet includes 7 sprigs of handmade Australian wattle and will last through all the seasons. It also includes 3 crochet and wired leaves,

Each piece is crocheted on to a twig using cotton yarn. The twigs are foraged from my local area making all bouquets completely unique. 

Tied with twine and wrapped in brown paper, I will also add a handmade gift tag and leave it blank for your own personal message.
