All pads and liners are backed with pinwale corduroy to reduce slippage, topped with gorgeous 100% quality cotton with hidden PUL layer. Fasten with kam snaps.
Liner - for spotting in between periods or discharge, Two layers of flannelette.
Regular Pad – will hold approximately 20ml of liquid, Flannelette and two layers of bamboo fleece.
Heavy Pad – will hold approximately 28ml of liquid, for those days when your period is at its heaviest, Two layers of flannelette and three layers of bamboo fleece,
Each pad/liner (if laundered correctly) lasts up to 3-5 years. At the end of their life, simply cut them up into small pieces (remove the PUL layer) and compost. Easy! Combine this with my compostable wrapping and packaging and you truly have an eco-friendly alternative!
Simply use these as you would disposable pads/liners and secure to your underwear by fastening the snaps. The plain corduroy fabric side goes against your underwear to help reduce any slippage. You should find them as absorbent as disposable pads and should change them as regularly as needed but at least once every four hours. Wearing with cotton underwear is preferable. You may have to adjust the pad to find the most comfortable position and try different styles of underwear to find the best fit.
Care Instructions: Wash before first use. Either rinse out straight away or pop them in a wet bag until you are home and then soak in a bucket of cold water for at least 1 hour. If the pad dries out before washing it is more likely to stain. Pop pads in the wash with your regular load. I recommend washing on cold to ensure the hidden PUL layer does not deteriorate over time. DO NOT USE fabric softener or bleach as this may affect the absorbency of the pads. Line drying/drying flat is preferable. Simply smooth out the pad before leaving to dry to help it retain its shape. Tumble dry and ironing is not recommended as this may damage the hidden PUL layer, reducing the lifespan of your pad or liner.
Please ensure pads and liners are completely dry before storing them. They will take 1-2 days to dry thoroughly (perhaps longer in cooler weather) due to the absorbent core layers.
Please note these pads and liners are lovingly made by hand. While a great deal of care is taken, pads and liners may differ slightly in size. Also, pattern placement may differ from what you see here.
