Hi there! I’m Leanne, the face behind LaLaLea. I live in Brisbane, Queensland with my husband and two teenage boys. I have a part-time day job, and spend my spare time making for LaLaLea in my home-based studio. It’s a juggling act at times, but I love it!
An unexpected redundancy at the end of 2018 gave me the opportunity to evaluate what I wanted to do. My husband and boys have their own interests and hobbies, but I needed something for myself. I’ve always loved being creative, having done many different crafts over the years, but my passion has always been sewing.
Hello, our names are Geilhy and Cristina, or CG for short 😉.. We are two Brisbane based mums who met during playdates when our kids were little. Now they are 7 and 10 years old and don’t keep us as busy as they did a few years back. Before we became mums, we worked as engineers but then decided to stay at home to look after them. After a couple of attempts to resume our professional careers we were driven more and more to owning a business and doing something different… That is until we found the creative side of each of us!
Imagination is the best, isn't it? I always thought as you got older your imagination made way for grown up things like working, paying bills, mowing the lawn and washing the car. BUT that is not the case at all!
Since starting Nunkeri Creative in late 2018 my imagination and hence creativity has been set on fire! The absolute joy I get from creating designs, seeing them come to life and watching people wear and love them is just amazing!
Hi, I’m Bonnie and I made your clothes
100 words and some incredibly random facts about me.
I am a mum to five, ranging in ages from 24 all the way down to 6. Rhiannon, Melodie, Michael, Kai and Elena are the centre of my universe. I am also an extremely proud Nonna to Olivia who is three. It sounds as crazy as it is, but I wouldn’t change a thing. By my side, cheering me on, pushing me forward and sometimes holding me up is Scott. Who goes along with my creative ideas even when he isn’t sure what I’m talking about or why I’m excited. I love music and my tastes run from classical to T Swizzle and Eminem. I played the violin in primary school. I love to cook and to plan to cook. Actually, I love to plan. Period. I am the worlds most prepared planner. If there is a Zombie Apocalypse, I’m your girl!
Hi, I made your clothes! Let me start by telling you a bit about myself!
I’m Melinda and I’m a mum to two cheeky girls (Molly and Charlotte) and live in Brisbane. I have always been a creative person and over the years have tried many styles from drawing, painting, cake making etc.
Before I had my girls I worked in Quality Assurance in Mining and travelled all over Australia and was away from home at least one to two weeks a month. I looooved my job and the responsibility that came with it but when my Molly came along and we learned of her chronic medical condition our lives took on a new path.
I have since journeyed through many ‘jobs’ of stay at home mother, carer, liasoning with nurses, doctors, surgeons and medical associations and managed to lose myself somewhere along the way….. that is until I found the right creative outlet for me – sewing!!
Hi, I made your jewellery! Let me start by telling you a bit about myself!
I’m Bec and I am the owner, creator, designer, brains behind Love your Tribe. I’m a mumma bear to two beautiful, spirited and ever exploring young girls. In whatever spare time I have left, I juggle my career as a high school art teacher. I have always had a love for socialising, whether it through sports, catching up with friends or hanging out with my family. I'm currently living in Sydney, but my home is Adelaide, which I frequent often to see friends and family.
I'm Amanda, I'm 37 and live on the South Coast of NSW with my hubby Mark and two Children - Amelie and Hudson. I was a former travel agent and now do the sewing/mum thing full-time.
